Hibiscus for hair care
Crush approx. 40 gm of dry hibiscus flowers in a pan and add pure unrefined coconut or sesame oil; just enough to completely submerge the crushed flowers.
Allow this mixture to heat on the lowest heat setting for approx 15 minutes. Take care not to boil the oil or over heat otherwise the oil or flowers or both may get damaged and leave a bad odour.
The flowers will release their hair nourishing components into the oil and give it a beautiful colour. Turn off the heat. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. Strain the oil off and store in a small jar.
